Do Norfolk and Norwich Terriers need a lot of grooming?

Both breeds should be brushed/combed at least once a week. To keep the wiry texture these terriers need their coat hand stripping. Pet owners can have their pets clipped although this will soften the coat and lighten the colour.

What gender would be best for me?

They both make excellent pets and companions. You may wish to have your pet spayed/neutered so you don’t have to be bothered by seasons and mating behaviour although this could lead to weight gain.

Are Norfolk and Norwich Terriers easy to house train?

Our puppies are trained to use newspaper from an early age. It is then easy for their new owner to carry on this routine and gradually place the newspaper nearer to the door and then for the puppy to use the garden. With consistency and routine along with the puppies eagerness to please this should be an easy experience for both puppy and owner.
